Josh Groban is an American crossover vocalist and songwriter known for his versatility in classical, contemporary, and pop styles. Born in Los Angeles in 1981, he attended Carnegie Mellon University and was introduced to music producer David Foster. After impressing Foster, he was signed to Warner Brothers and began touring with Sarah Brightman. He collaborated with artists like Elton John, Charlotte Church, and Stevie Wonder, expanding his vocal range. By 2002, his debut album had double-platinum sales, and he appeared at events like the Nobel Peace Prize Concert and the Vatican Christmas Performance. His 2006 song "You Raise Me Up" won him his first Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. His third album, Awake, also went double-platinum in both the USA and Canada. In 2010, his album Illuminations, featuring 11 songs written by Groban, reached number four on the US Billboard chart and sold over million copies in the USA. His 2013 album All That Echoes topped the Billboard Chart at No. 1. Josh has made numerous live appearances, including a TV special on PBS, the NFL Super Bowl, and the Concert For Diana at Wembley Stadium.
